About Me
My grandfather Pat was a woodworker. He was a machinist by trade, didn't have money to spare, so his shop was not much more than a table saw purchased from the back of a magazine and few handmade tools he cobbled together in his garage. Even so, he was able to turn out some wonderful things that many in my family still have. As a young child, some of my favorite and most-used toys came out of his shop
My first taste of real woodworking was as a 7th grade student in Hudson, Ohio. Under the instruction of Mr Aeschleman, I learned the basics of using tools carefully and safely to create small projects for use around the home. The first thing I made was the paper roll note pad in the photo on the right. My mother and father used it every day in their home until they each passed a few short years ago. Now I have it back again and think of them every time I use it.
Fast forward 35 years and I opened a woodshop and started taking commissions. My goal has been to create unique and personalized pieces for customers who are looking to put some of their own ideas into the creation of true heirlooms.
